questions & answers.

Q. Where do you practice?

A. Primarily, my patients are in Greenwich, Connecticut and surrounding areas including Stamford and Rye.  I also have patients in Northern Westchester, New York, specifically Pound Ridge, Bedford and Armonk.

Q.  What makes your practice unique?

A.   First and foremost, all services are provided on a house call only basis.  You will have direct access to me.  There will be no waiting rooms, and no staff to screen your calls. I am the one who will answer the phone and return your calls. This is a very small, private practice, which affords each patient a healthy share of time and personal attention.

Q. As your patient, how would I get in touch with you or arrange to see you?

A.  You will receive my private cell phone number and email, which will provide you with direct access to me around the clock. If you need to be seen, it’s simple: we set up a convenient time, and I will make a house call.

Q. Are you available on evenings and weekends?

A.  If you have a medical issue anytime, including weekends and evenings, you simply call or text me. I am not part of any coverage group, so no more wondering what doctor is going to call you back.  Even when I am on vacation, I remain available to you by phone and e-mail (assuming cell phone and wifi coverage).

Q. What about preventative health care?

A. Yearly health reviews are offered, encouraged and included as an important part of practicing good preventative medicine. Additionally, I make a specific house call every year to give you your flu shot. Unlike most pharmacists and doctors, my flu shots are preservative free. (This means they have to be kept refrigerated so I travel with a small cooler).

Q. What happens if I need a blood test?

A. If you need a blood test, I draw the blood and I hand deliver it to the Greenwich Hospital lab. The lab will bill your insurance for the tests.

Q. How do I join your practice?

A.  Just call me and we’ll set up a meeting at your home. If we both think this practice is right for you (and there is room in the practice), then you can sign on.

Q. Can I keep my current doctor?

A. For most of my patients, I am their only primary care physician. However, a few of my patients use my house call services in addition to their own doctor’s services. I am happy to accommodate such requests, and can collaborate with your doctor.

Q. How are you paid? What about your cost and my insurance?

A. There is an annual fee, which covers all my medical services. No deductibles. No co-pays. No paperwork. However, I do not participate in any insurance plans, so my fee is a patient responsibility and not covered by insurance. Your insurance, however, will still operate as it normally would with all other medical expenses.

Q. What about Medicare?

A.  Same answer,  I do not participate in Medicare, but outside of my fee, which they will not reimburse, your relationship with Medicare will not change.

Q. How is your handwriting?

A. Next question please.
